For the second year in a row, MAD Brussels and hub.brussels will shine a spotlight on Belgian design during Milan Design Week by hosting an exclusive exhibition at the Brussels House from April 7 to 13, 2025. This year, MAD Brussels will curate the exhibition, exploring the theme of a design interior with a distinctly Brussels spirit.

Are you a Brussels-based designer eager to showcase your creativity on the international stage? We are launching a call for applications for original design projects, whether handcrafted or industrially produced, in small or large series. Functional or decorative objects, unique pieces, or serial productions—we are looking for creations that embody the spirit of Belgian design in all its diversity!

Initiated by the Brussels Region, the Brussels House is a dedicated space for promoting Brussels’ culture, tourism, and businesses abroad. Since its opening in February 2023 in the vibrant Porta Nuova district of Milan, it has become a strategic showcase for Brussels creativity and expertise. As in 2024, the exhibition presented during Milan Design Week 2025 will celebrate interior design with products and concepts inspired by Brussels.

WHO CAN APPLY ?

This call is open to brands, designers, and design studios headquartered in Brussels.

selection criteria

The applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

Each applicant can submit up to two projects (only one will be selected)
The project (either in production or in prototype) must be less than two years old.
The creations must showcase innovations in techniques, materials, and design, with a strong focus on sustainability and circularity.
Motivation for internationalization and openness to foreign markets.
