Julien Renault — Designer of the year 2023
Julien Renault studied industrial design in ESAD Design & Art School in Reims and ECAL in Switzerland. There he taught himself to work with a combination of objective and rational methods with artistic and personal freedom. You can recognize his style by his appreciation for basic elements, natural colors, fundamental materials and unpretentious settings. He always seeks for a coherence between the beauty of details and the whole picture. Julien is currently based in Brussels, where he creates designs for international brands. For HAY, Julien designed the Pastis Table and Chair series.
