MAD Brussels

MAD Brussels offers the opportunity for two designers to present their sustainable material research and/or finished eco-designed products at the MAD corner during the second edition of RENEWAL. Are you a designer committed to eco-design, local production, and the use of materials that support the circular economy? Participate in this event and showcase your work!


RENEWAL will be held on the weekends of September 21-22 and September 28-29, 2024, at RESET R2. This exhibition is dedicated to exploring eco-design, local production, and the use of materials from the circular economy.

RENEWAL examines how design can support a conscious lifestyle by promoting mindfulness, a connection with nature, and sustainable habits. The exhibition showcases the transition to a circular economy, emphasizing resource efficiency and waste reduction. It features sustainable production processes and the transformative use of waste and recycled materials.

RENEWAL inspires a deep respect for materials and the creative process, encouraging designers to engage with materials to create durable objects. The exhibition fosters meaningful connections between designers, material experts, and manufacturers to support sustainable design.



This call for applications offers you the opportunity to:

  • Showcase your sustainable material research and/or finished products at an exhibition dedicated to eco-design.

  • Gain visibility among a targeted and engaged audience focused on sustainability and innovation, including a knowledgeable audience of architects.

  • Benefit from the exposure and support of MAD Brussels in promoting your work.



  • Be a designer based in Brussels.

  • Offer innovative and sustainable materials and/or finished products that align with the principles of eco-design and the circular economy.

  • Have a clear and demonstrable commitment to sustainability and local production.


1. Phase 1 : Submit your resume, portfolio, and a description of your sustainable approach by Sunday, July 14, 2024 (11:59 PM) via the form.

2. Phase 2 : A jury will evaluate the submitted applications based on the dossiers and select the two designers who best meet the criteria of the call.

3. Phase 3 : The selected designers will be invited to prepare their exhibition for RENEWAL.

  • Deadline for submitting your application: Sunday 14 July 2024  (23:59)
  • Jury: Thursday 18 July 2024
  • Announcement of selected designers: no later than Friday 19 July 2024
