LES FLEURS BLEUES NE VIVENT QU'UNE JOURNÉE

Six diploma projects from La Cambre's textile design studio will be on display at MAD Brussels on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.!

OVER DESIGN TEXTILE

During the Master in DT students shape their aspirations by exploring the medium of textiles and developing an approach rooted in the intimacy of the studio and nourished by encounters in different contexts of creation, use and production.

They encourage fluidity in a sensitive, tangible relationship with people and things: furnishing, welcoming, overshadowing, covering, filtering, etc. This year's projects demonstrate the ambition and pleasure of appropriating basic or complex fabrication processes and focus especially on the physical, empirical and immersive nature of craft work: turning, warping, weaving, knitting, coating, dipping, kneading, unfolding, stitching: all actions and traditions of an ancient tradition, used today as an anchor in the hustle and bustle of the world.
